Dear BADV Community:
This year’s theme for our Anandya Sandhya Utsav is Legends. In addition to our fabled stalwarts, such as Rabindranath Tagore and Nazrul Islam, we would like to commemorate the works of other illustrious personalities—from Nati Binodini, Leela Majumdar, Sarojini Naidu (née Chattopadhyay), Sukanta Bhattacharya, Sukumar Ray, Satyajit Ray, Salil Chowdhury, Sarala Devi, Ashapurna Devi, to Ritwik Ghatak and their like.
This year, we would like our performances to be focused on the works of these icons. We realize this list is far from exhaustive, so you can also choose to present/perform works of someone else who inspires you.
Group performances are preferred: group Songs, group dances, group recitations, Short presentations, group short skits.
Performances should be no longer than 7 minutes, and slots are limited. They will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so we urge you to sign up early by emailing cultural@badv.us.
